It goes without saying (although I will reiterate it here), that the foundation for this article is the fact that what’s legal and what’s smart supersedes my (theoretical) wisdom below….
With that in mind, I want to ask the question of whether there are benefits to seniors who choose to enjoy cannabis outside of their homes. In a future article, we’ll talk about the evolution and growth in cannabis cafes and the new social setting opportunities that they present.
We can all probably remember having to hide our marijuana use, particularly in our early years, when our parents may not have been as receptive to and understanding about the upsides of getting high. Who remembers Reefer Madness and the ongoing scare tactics to discourage kids from indulging?
Today, so much has changed. For starters, we’re adults and don’t need anyone’s permission to consume cannabis. Secondly, the stigma around its use has diminished significantly.
For those seniors (older stoners) who have the ability to get outside and enjoy cannabis and nature concurrently, I encourage consuming via your preferred method and taking a walk or jog or simply just getting some vitamin D. It’s one thing to sit at home and catch a buzz and that may be your (perfectly fine) everyday approach… It’s quite another experience to allow cannabis to work in harmony with nature (where it comes from). Maybe it’s just me, but an outside high trumps an inside high every time.
We all (at this point) understand the importance of fresh air and exercise. If you haven’t experienced taking a walk while enjoying a sativa strain thc doobie, then you certainly have exciting opportunities ahead to consider.
